Using Communication Competence for Preventing Child Marriage of Child’s Community in West Java Indonesia

This article explores the communication competencies of Adolescent activists in fighting child marriage West Java. The condition Covid 19 pandemic has increased rates in  Online schools and higher use digital media are reasons for increase research a employed qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Covid-19 Pandemic demanded to improve their competence; thus, message protection is received properly. components competence investigated this study were motivation, knowledge, expertise who members Regional Child Action Network Forum continuously prevent marriage. results showed that development activists‟ considered management because delivering messages face-to-face was restricted. ability manage platforms generated positive motivation; thus it fostered confidence. recognize procedure choosing right facilitated adolescent deliver peers, parents, government while keeping distance. Applying motivation knowledge new skills adapt habits productively Java, Indonesia.
